Magical Forest Bookstore was born from a simple belief: that the right book, in the right hands, at the right moment, can change a child's world.

I'm Susan Kelly - a mama, a former teacher, and someone who has always believed in the power of a great story. I opened Magical Forest in Fox River Grove because I wanted this community to have a place where kids are genuinely celebrated, where books are chosen with real families in mind, and where walking through the door feels like an adventure.

Every title on our shelves is hand-selected - not by an algorithm, but by me, with your child in mind. And if you don't see what you're looking for, just ask. I love nothing more than finding the perfect book for a specific kid - whether that means tracking down a folk tale that connects them to their heritage or finding a story that meets them exactly where they are.

We're also a gathering place. A neighborhood hub. A spot where readers come together for story time, creative workshops, and the simple joy of sharing a book with someone you love.
