Shake, Dance, and Read with Author Rekha S. Rajan! 🥁🩰🦊

Get ready to wiggle, twirl, and make some music! On Saturday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we’re thrilled to welcome author Rekha S. Rajan to Magical Forest for her very first story time with us, made just for our littlest readers.

Rekha is a USA TODAY bestselling author, a classically trained musician, and an educator with more than 20 years of experience. She grew up right here in the Chicago area, and she has a gift for introducing young children to music and the arts. Her audiobook recordings for the This Is Music series were even recognized as notable children’s recordings by the American Library Association!

At this joyful, hands-on event, Rekha will share two of her toddler board books:

🥁 This Is Music: Drums, a lively first introduction to rhythm and beat
🩰 This Is Ballet, which invites little ones to explore classical dance from around the world

Every child’s ticket includes a board book of their own and a maraca, provided by Rekha, so kids can shake, dance, and play along with the story. It’s a wonderful way to show toddlers that reading can be full of music and movement!
